APPLICATIONS OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 20, 2023

ABOUT

  • The Nous Foundation and Fulbright France are thrilled to announce a formal partnership that will create the first regional Fulbright program in the United States. This research program will fund groundbreaking research through co-funded grants enabling French Ph.D. students to pursue their research in Louisiana and for Louisiana Ph.D. students to pursue their research in France.

  • The goal of the program is to support world-class research across academic disciplines to pursue shared knowledge and understanding as well as reinforce ties across the Francophonie. For the inaugural grant cycle 2023-2024, support will focus on bringing a French Ph.D. student to Louisiana (one grant available). In its second year, the partnership will also aim to support a Louisiana Ph.D. researcher to pursue their work in France.

  • Long term, the goal will be to create an exchange of researchers across academic disciplines and educational degrees to create a durable and vibrant research exchange based on the openness of the Francophonie. The grant will be open to all doctoral students at accredited universities in France and Louisiana, in line with the eligibility requirements for the Fulbright program.
