LA NUIT AMÉRICAINE!

FRIDAY MAY 8, 2026
6:00 9:00 PM
PITOT HOUSE

We can’t wait to celebrate our fifth anniversary with a special gala—La Nuit Américaine—on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, at the historic Pitot House along Bayou St. John.

In just five years, an extraordinary world has emerged, and we are still in awe of what we have built.

We are proud to have collaborated with leading institutions, including the Historic New Orleans Collection, the Library of Congress, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Mellon Foundation. With their support, we have opened our cultural center in the heart of the French Quarter and brought to life original films, albums, publications, and exhibitions—alongside grant and scholarship programs.

We do all of this because we hold a simple belief: that Louisiana’s French and Creole cultures deserve to be seen. From this conviction, we are proud to have presented our work at leading national and international institutions, including the United Nations, the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, and the Cannes Film Festival. We are equally committed to empowering our communities, and we have already redistributed more than $750,000 in support of local cultural initiatives.

None of this would have been possible without your support, and we look forward to raising a glass with you to celebrate this wonderful aventure—and start writing the futur.

LE PROGRAMME

PITOT HOUSE
1440 Moss St
New Orleans

Set in the gardens of the Pitot House—built in 1799 and overlooking Bayou St. John—the gala unfolds as an elegant spring evening, where past, present, and future meet as one.

Cuisine from some of New Orleans’s most celebrated restaurants, including Brennan’s, champagne toasts, and Belgian waffles, will be served under the night sky.

The evening will also feature performances by Mélange Dance Company, a 2025 laureate of Nous’s Le Lab cultural accelerator. With our support, their acclaimed production of Love Letters of WWII will be presented at the Library of Congress on September 10, 2026—an echo of this night, carried forward from New Orleans to the heart of our nation.

Une nuit louisianaise. Une nuit américaine.
