LEARN CREOLE
FT. CLIF ST. LAURENT
We are pleased to have established a partnership with language instructor Clif St. Laurent to offer lessons in Louisiana Creole (also commonly referred to as Kouri-Vini).
Clif is an activist for Kouri-Vini and appeared in our documentary Voices of Renewal, which aired on PBS. He also hosts the LPB/PBS digital series Kouri-Vini 101, which brings the language and culture to life on screen.
Clif offers virtual classes for both beginners (Kouri-vini 101 is an 8-week course to help beginners gain fluency) and intermediate and advanced speakers. Starting October 2025 (when our space reopens to the public), we will start hosting hybrid lessons in our beautiful gallery space in the French Quarter.
CLASS CATALOGUE (2025-2026)
Registration for language classes is available on a rolling basis (beginner, intermediate, and advanced). If you’re interested in learning Kouri-Vini, we invite you to contact Clif or to send us an email.
